QIC Trims’ operational excellence and environmental sustainability receives official accreditation.
The interior product design and manufacturing specialist has been awarded certification for achieving two crucial industry standards.
The globally recognised BS EN ISO 9001:2015 certification was awarded for QIC Trims’ operation of a UKAS accredited Quality Management System. Certification was also received for the company’s UKAS accredited Environmental Management System compliance as per standard BS EN ISO 14001:2015.
In both cases, the certification relates to QIC Trims’ design, manufacture, and supply of extruded aluminium and sheet metal interior building products to the construction industry.
Neil Miller, QIC Trims’ Sales and Marketing Director, said: “Compliance with these industry standards recognises our commitment to excellence across all areas of the business. The Quality Management System certification confirms we consistently meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements while aiming for continuous improvement. This is particularly satisfying, as upholding standards whilst striving for ever-higher quality levels is embedded in our DNA.”
QIC boosted its environmental management by changing the packaging used on its products. It now comprises a minimum 30% recycled polythene content and is LDPE 04 recyclable. Other energy-saving initiatives include recycling all cardboard packaging and installing LED sensor lighting throughout the company’s Buckinghamshire manufacturing plant. The strategy is part of QIC’s target of zero waste disposal by 2030.
Neil Miller continued: “Moving to a minimum 30% recyclable content for our packaging strikes the right balance between strength and sustainability. It also shows that we are serious about achieving our sustainability goals. This is something that we feel our customers care deeply about.”
